CONVENE
BY CONSCIOUS THERAPY

Modern group therapy for meaningful insight,

deep presence, and shared human experience

WHAT IS CONVENE?

Convene is a Cape Town based, professionally held realtime group therapy experience, rooted in presence, reflection, and emotional truth. These aren’t workshops or lectures. They’re deeply human sessions that invite honest conversation, shared insight, and grounded therapeutic tools. What emerges when we gather with others, speak honestly, and listen deeply can be incredibly powerful.

MY METHODS AIM TO OPTIMISE CONFLICT IN THE RELATIONSHIP

I specialize in conflict resolution and connection, helping couples see what they need to work on in themselves.

Interventions and techniques are offered to help break the cycle of perpetual arguing or recurring grid-lock conflict.

First, we assess. We identify the root causes of the problem.

Then, we develop healthy reactions and responses that enhance the relationship.

Consider Couples Therapy

IN CLOSE RELATIONSHIPS, WE WILL INEVITABLY DISAPPOINT PEOPLE.

There is something sacred from what unfolds in the collective. You don’t need to overshare or be “broken” to belong. Being in the presence of others in this set up often shifts things in ways we don’t expect.

AS WE WORK TOGETHER

You'll Begin to Experience

A change in behaviors and a shift in the patterns that have kept you stuck in the past.

You will begin to transform conflict into growth.

Your relationships will start to reshape through your own growing awareness.

You will begin to create the life you envision, not the one scripted to you from your past conditioning.

You will start to manage and understand your emotions better.

We will begin to discover the root cause of your hurt and together we will release this negative emotion with all its attachments so that it will no longer have a hold on your life.

METHODOLOGIES I USE

THE GOTTMAN METHOD FOR COUPLES THERAPY

This is an evidence-based form of couples therapy that strives to assist couples in achieving a deeper sense of understanding, awareness, empathy, and connectedness within their relationships that ultimately leads to heightened intimacy and interpersonal growth.

EMOTIONALLY FOCUSED THERAPY

Based on 50 years of research into human bonding and 30 years of research into helping couples connect and thrive. Research has shown that Couples Therapy, using the EFT model, has achieved a 75% success rate with couples, with 86% of couples reporting feeling happier in their relationships.

EFT has also been proven to be effective with individuals suffering from trauma (particularly related to child abuse or neglect), depression, and interpersonal problems, including unresolved feelings towards past significant others and complicated grief.
